Sole Symposium

Sole Symposium is a tap dance collective dedicated to bridging the gap between dance/music, performer/audience and artist/community. Like our name suggests we are a symposium; a meeting place, a seminar, a conversation between like-minded artists.

So why tap dance? Sole Symposium is comprised of three women who met through their joy for tap. All coming from a variety of backgrounds, we are connected by the rhythm of tap dance, which resonates with our beating hearts. It is our goal to learn from the tappers of the past and present and continue to bring this wonderful art form into the future.

KOKUS Productions is an entertainment company established by aspiring dancer, choreographer and instructor, Lukas Press. KOKUS has added to the team, Co-Director, Rebecca Reinhart. Together they bring their passion and drive to the company in order to strengthen the performance skills of those who aspire to be a part of, or are already in, the professional scene. KOKUS offers performers much more than any other dance company in Toronto. It gives an opportunity to get professional training in three disciplines from the industry’s best and experienced teachers. KOKUS understands that versatility is one of the greatest strengths of a performing artist, and that is exactly what we aim to establish: a versatile performer. Our mission is to create great performers who will embody the invaluable disciplines of dancing, singing and acting.

Our classes run from September – June.  Our aim is to motivate, inspire, and instruct the student in dancing singing acting training.

All training is performance oriented as well as growth focused – we want our students to feel good about what they can deliver artistically and simply put, be the best they aspire to be.

KOKUS Productions will be featuring “Numbers” in the Fringe Festival 2012. The dance story of a WWII love story.
